Designed on a small triangular island-plot in Vasco, Goa, the brief was to accommodate an Anganwadi and a Rural Medical Dispensary for a local resident community. The approach was to create linear structures along the two edges of the site. The simple plan allows both the buildings to have a separate point of entry and a small courtyard in the centre is carved out for community use. By organising services towards the edges, the central space is freed up in both the cases. The seeming transparency helps in building better connection between the kids in the anganwadi and the neighbourhood community.
